CROWNING CREATIONS By Thaddeus ODonnell February 22, 2000 Theyre at it again the Sisters from Another Planet that is. About a month ago we told you about them and their crowning affair at Borders Books and Music, Creve Coeur. As per our prediction, the sky is the limit for these whacked out sisters and their crazy creation. The best ideas are simple. The toys are homemade. Ask any parent, and they will tell you, its not the toy, but the box it came in that fascinates their kids. Decorate the box and you have a sure-fire hit on your hands. No store-bought toy can even come close to it. Two sisters from St. Louis, after crowning themselves Sisters from Another Planet, have come up with an ingenious plot to take over the universe. Yes, the universe. Its so simple and easy, that parents around the galaxy will be clamoring for these things faster than you can say Buck Rogers. Get this. Its a kit to make a crown. A little glue, a little sparkle, some colorful sequins and a lot of imagination are all it takes to crown yourself grand Pooh-Bah of whatever you want. Thats all there is to it. Mardi Gras is coming up and no celebration lends itself to crowning creations more than Mardi Gras. Prepare the way for your royal presence at a crown clinic at the Glee Club in Webster Groves. I advise that you make reservations, as the last time one of these clinics was held, at borders Books and Music in Creve Coeur, it sold out faster than a speeding bullet. Call (314) 961-8664 and speak to either Kitty or Jan. Tell them of your burning desire to crown yourself. They will tell you the rest. You will not regret it. If youve got kids, all the better. If not, its okay. Believe me, theyll understand. I wear my crown around the house after all, a mans home is his castle. ©Copyright 1998, 1999, 2000 Reprinted by permission of Electrografix New Media LLC, All rights reserved.
